Frequently Asked Questions
-
Before your initial consultation, we’ll ask you to complete a brief health questionnaire, sign a consent form, and fill in a food diary. This is to let the dietitian you are working with know the key issues you would like to address, as well as inform us of any tests or investigations you have already had, and any relevant medical history. This information helps your dietitian prepare for the appointment to ensure you get the most out of your appointment.
At your first appointment, your dietitian will ask you a range of questions related to your diet, medical history and lifestyle and may also get you to complete a short gut health assessment. Once your dietitian has understood your current concerns and background, they will use their clinical expertise to help tailor a plan that is right for you.
-
After your initial consultation, your dietitian may suggest a review appointment in a suitable timeframe to assess the effectiveness of the plan they have given to you. You may be asked to maintain a food and/or symptom diary before your review appointment to help your dietitian decide the next best step in your care pathway and tailor advice going forward.
For those with IBS, we would normally recommend three sessions, although sometimes more are required depending on individual symptom response. For other conditions, the number of sessions and timelines will depend on your individual needs.
-
The cost of appointments varies depending on which dietitian you book in with.
Currently, an initial consultation with our Founder, Kaitlin Colucci, costs £150 (60 minutes) and a follow-up is £130 (45 minutes).
An initial consultation with all other dietitians in the clinic costs £130 (60 minutes), and a follow-up is £110 (45 minutes).
Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

A lot of people don't realise that the cost of a consultation covers a lot more than the session you have. It covers the planning before each session, documentation after the session, liaising with other members of the healthcare team, emails between sessions, research and more!
-
This will vary for each individual and will be discussed during your appointment with the dietitian. However, as a rough guide:
• For IBS we normally recommend three appointments.
• For other conditions your dietitian will discuss this with you personally.

Currently, none of our dietitians are registered with health insurance providers.
-
We do not offer any tests within the KC Nutrition Clinic. We will only recommend valid tests and, if needed, we will refer you to the appropriate professional within our network of clinicians.
-
After each appointment, your dietitian will write a summary of your assessment, which will include your action plan. You’ll receive this letter within 5 working days to your preferred email address. Our dietitians do not provide set meal plans, but rather methods and recommendations to help you make healthier choices independently.
-
Currently our dietitians offer appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday only, throughout the day and evening. Appointments are booked and paid for in advance, so it’s recommended that you get in touch via the contact form to secure an appointment at your earliest convenience.
Currently, we offer appointments online only via Google Meet. The Google Meet invitation will be sent within the appointment confirmation email.

Yes! All consultations are online. Due to insurance cover of our dietitians, we can work with clients anywhere except the USA & Canada (sorry!)

If you currently have an active eating disorder, it would be recommended you speak to a specialist eating disorder dietitian, as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside a psychologist. The team at the KC Nutrition Clinic are not specialised in active eating disorders to support you. However, if you have a history of an eating disorder and are recovered, please do enquire at the clinic and we will happily offer a discovery call to see if we can support you.
